Feudalism 2.0: living in the information stack
This week’s lecture is about the Feudalism from the 9th to 15th centuries. Feudalism is all about building relationships based on the exchange of profits of labor and services in land ownership. Most of feudal society focused on agriculture in the middle ages.
In the past, the farmers exchanged their agricultural products with money to the landlords. Nowadays, people exchange their personal lives with digital space and fame to the social- network platforms, which is known as “FANGs” – Facebook Apple, Amazon, Netflix, Google (Evans 2018).
