My (Creative queens) team chose Earthship as our final project to respond to the EXPO 2025.
In the first few weeks, we could not decide which one to do because there were a lot of great projects. We also want a project which is mot many videos of footage like our “Green University”. We had watched a lot of projects and still considering until week 9.
Then in Week 9, we decided to do the Earthship. Our teammates are great. We were having fun during the process because everyone had the humor, and we tried our best to make the fun Live EXPO. We decided to do the testimonials for the Earthship project.
In week 10, we made a messenger group call, to sum up, all the ideas and divided the parts. I came up with the idea that we should make the Earthship a residential area and then play different roles. Racheal then suggested roleplays such as Chef, New Resident, Long-term Resident, the host would be the robot and the doctor. Then we picked our roleplays and started to jot down what we wanted to present.
Week 11 and 12 are our rehearsal weeks. We rehearsed several times and also had to change a lot in our scripts. The first time rehearsal was the toughest. We could not fit in the time, so we had to cut down the scripts and re-write some parts. Then in the second rehearsal, we decided to add in the Kahoot at the end of the presentation. We kept trying and editing until the morning before the class. My teammates were sympathetic for me because we are in a different timezone and it would be too early for me if we do the presentations before noon. On the presentation day, we were worried and had to run another rehearsal before the class, so it was my 3 am. When we rehearsed, somehow we still did not fit 15 minutes. we then have to cut down some parts and we also have problems with the sharing screen thing on zoom. However, the presentation for the EXPO 2025 was great and I was so glad to have such a great team and we had a fun time while doing the projects.
